Liam

Liam and his parents came to see me in the studio last weekend. With those blond curls and the big blue eyes, he reminded me of a little cherub. So cute and happy! He came in for traditional studio shots and we did get some of those. But he was happier to snuggle with Nino the bear on the bed. So we went with that as well. Here's a few for your sneak peek, Allison and Bill. Enjoy!

Jack and Holden

I photographed these handsome boys and their parents last night on the most beautiful property. They were such fun and remind me so much of my boys. I could tell that Jack is a responsible boy with a good heart. He took the whole session very seriously, as he knew that his mom really wanted great photos of her boys. Holden is a spitfire. His personality draws you right in and he wins you over with his sweet silly temperament. It truly was a privilege to photograph this family. Enjoy your sneak peek, Paula and Robert!

Rock and Roll 8 year old

I can't believe my first baby is 8 years old! How does that happen? Noah is my sweet, sensitive boy who always wants to do the right thing. All my boys are special in their own way, but what makes Noah special is that he made me a mommy. I will never ever forget that life-changing moment of looking at my child for the very first time and realizing that I'd be entrusted with his care.

Okay, enough of the sappy stuff. Now that my boy is getting a little older, it's time to leave the baby pictures in the past. So we took his guitar and headed down to a local alley to do a rock and roll urban shoot. We had a great time and came away with some really fun images that I'd like to share with all of you.

Meet Madeleine

Madeleine is a sweet little 16 month old. She arrived at my studio all smiles and good nature. She loved to play and snack, but was not so fond of the backdrops...lol! Her sweet little personality sure does shine through in her photos. Enjoy your sneak peek, Erin.

And the Seniors

Here are the senior images from my workshop shoot. Please feel free to refer me to any upcoming seniors you may know. They were so much fun!

Stepping out of my box

I recently had the opportunity to attend a workshop on outdoor natural light portraiture. I learned a ton and felt like I really had an opportunity to step outside of my artistic box and try something new. Many of these images are higher in contrast and color than my usual work, but what fun they were to take and process! I got to try my hand in more urban settings and I got some extra experience posing and working with seniors. We were lucky enough to have access to some amazingly beautiful and accomodating models and I thank them for the wonderful experience they provided. I look forward to sharing these photos with all of you and bringing some of what I learned to my work in future sessions.
